Currently, children can have paid tuition for piano, recorder, french horn and clarinet (through the South Gloucestershire Music Service) and guitar / ukulele through Funkypunk music. You can find out more from the school office or by clicking on the link below. FunkyPunk Music is the largest and most popular independent Music Service in South Gloucestershire and currently operates in seventeen schools in the area, including The Tynings School.
As you can see from our sports news pages, we take part in a number of enrichment activities. We currently have netball, football (school team for Years 5 and 6, and Wendy Britton Soccer School for other year groups), athletics teams. We have also taken part in tag rugby and dodgeball tournaments this year.
We run a junior choir after school; we have been invited to join in with King’s Oak Academy Christmas Concert at the Colston Hall this year and we often participate in other events throughout the year.
Clubs run on a seasonal basis; they can change each term. We currently have a storytelling club and a chess club running with coding club, film club, art club and a number of other clubs in the pipeline later in the year. Keep an eye on the latest news page and twitter feed for more information.
