This week we had a puppet workshop. We watched an amazing puppet show and made our own puppets.

Fox Class learnt how to use watercolour paints this week and made pirate themed pictures.

In Fox Class we have been learning how to create tally charts and pictograms. We worked outside to create our own tally charts and pictograms. We created the pictograms with our bodies at first (sitting in the pictogram) then we drew them.

Year 2 dressed up as pirates for the day to launch our new topic. We spent the afternoon making pirate ships from different materials and our challenge was to make them so they could float. We put them in a paddling pool to see whose could float. We had a great day!

In Year 2 we have been lucky enough to have chicks living with us for 2 weeks. We watched the chicks hatch in an incubator too!

Take a look at some of our work and sometimes us in the classroom. You are always welcome to come into school and take a closer look. You can see from the displays in our classrooms the variety of topics we cover. As the year progresses, the displays change. By July, you will be able to see the whole range of subjects we have covered. Our Working walls help us learn – the content builds as the term progresses.
